Doctors: NFL players and veterans have same brain disease

(WTVR) – Doctors have found the same brain disease in both military veterans and NFL players.

We’re specifically talking about vets exposed to IED explosions and NFL players who’ve had concussions.

Doctors say it shows a common thread between anyone who experiences brain trauma, whether it be on the battle field or football field.

Both types of trauma led to a degenerative brain disease that causes memory loss, depression, and other Alzheimer’s like symptoms.
