(CNN) – “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland is fighting kidney disease.
The 21-year-old actress recently revealed she was diagnosed with abnormal kidney development at nine years old.
The health issue often leaves the actress feeling fatigued.
Hyland says her boyfriend and co-star Matt Prokop is a huge help in making sure she takes her medication and makes it to the doctor’s office.
The young actress describes her dad as one of her biggest supporters. She credits him for giving her a second chance at life, thanks to his kidney donation.
