Investigation underway into possible Twitter hack
RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Twitter is investigating the breach of thousand accounts, reported CNN.
A hacking news and activist hub called Airdemon message online saying 55,000 accounts were compromised. It also posted a link to a pasting site with what it said were the user names and passwords for those accounts.
Social Media news website Mashable reported:
“…those claims are largely bogus, and that the group mostly posted duplicate information or username and password information for suspended spam accounts”
Twitter says it is looking into the situation and pushed out password resets to impacted accounts.
