(WTVR) - Foster care can be rewarding for the foster parent as well as the foster child and advocates say the need is greater than ever.
The Change Who Waits rally took place this morning at Grove Avenue Baptist Church here in Richmond.
The event coordinator said they were trying to get Christians throughout Virginia to become adoptive parents.
The event featured stories and testimonies from adults who grew up in the foster care system.
Another event will be held next Saturday in Hampton.
