MESA, Ariz. (KTVK) -  An Arizona woman is accused of pretending to have breast cancer to raise money for breast implants.

Jami Toler was in court Thursday wearing a dark fitted shirt. The 27-year-old is accused of fraud and theft. On the fundraising website it read: Jami has breast cancer and no insurance.

Police said she raising $8,000 for a double mastectomy she did not need.

"We got her medical records indicated that there was no breast cancer or anything like that, no issues what so ever," said Mesa Police Sgt. Anthony Landato.

Investigators said Jami used most of the cash in November to pay for breast implants.

Jami's story unraveled when police said she passed on a doctor's free offer to operate on her breast cancer.
