Child hit by car in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va (WTVR)- Henrico County Police are looking for a tan or beige van that hit a child in northern Henrico Friday night.

The child was hit around 8:45pm on Pony Farm Drive near Azalea Avenue.

The minivan fled the scene headed down Wilkinson Rd. towards Route 301.

CBS6 has learned the eight year old boy was not seriously hurt and was not taken to the hospital immediately following the incident.

The boy was, however, taken to the hospital by his family shortly after.

There was no further suspect description nor vehicle information.  If anyone was witness to this crash they’re asked to call CrimeStoppers at 780-1000.
