Police: Sheriff’s Deputy took money from inmate’s account

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Police arrested a Chesterfield County Sheriff’s deputy accused of taking $300 from an inmate’s account. Police charged Otis. B. Logan Jr. with grand larceny.

In a press release, police said someone at the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office discovered the discrepancy on Tuesday and reported it to police. Police arrested Logan Thursday. He was later released on bond. Logan is due back in court on May 31.

The press release indicated Logan no longer works for the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.
