NEW KENT, Va. (WTVR) – Drivers on I-64 east ran into some major delays Friday afternoon.
VDOT said a single-vehicle accident closed I-64 east near the Bottoms Bridge/Rt. 249 exit (mile marker 205) in New Kent County.
However, the accident was cleared and the interstate reopened around 1:30 p.m.
At one point, traffic was backed up more than five miles.
