GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - A new free-standing emergency room opens in the far West End on Monday.
The new full service West Creek Emergency Center, located right off Route 288 near Patterson Avenue, is the first ER of its kind in the far West End
"The purpose here is to be able to stabilize patients. So if a patient is really sick and needs to go to another hospital we'll have an ambulance here 24/7 that would transport that patient to Henrico Doctors' Hospital," said Lee Van Sise, the Director of West Creek Emergency Center.
The 10,000 square-foot facility will offer 24 hour care for people living in Western Henrico and Goochland Counties. Doctors and nurses will be able to treat everything from heart attacks to broken bones.
