HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – An accident involving a semi could cause some traffic delays for folks heading home Wednesday.

Police said a single-accident crash involving a tractor-trailer on the ramp from southbound I-295 to I-95 northbound in Henrico County  happened just before 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Virginia State Police’s Sergeant Thomas J. Molnar said in a news release that the semi ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to VCU Medical Center.

Molnar said the driver, 51-year-old Munib Malokos, of Chicago, was charged with reckless driving and that speed was a factor in the crash.

Officials said the ramp will remain open as crews remove the rolls of paper from the semi’s trailer.

However, the exit ramp will be closed when crews need to upright the tractor-trailer.

Cleanup is expected to go through rush hour.
