RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) A new measure requiring schools to be ready for allergic reactions in children will become law tomorrow.

The legislation requires schools to have a plan to keep epinephrine autoinjectors on hand and administer them to children who show signs of a serious allergic reaction.

This  law was prompted by the death of seven-year-old Amarria Johnson, a Chesterfield county girl who died after exposure to a peanut at school.

Governor Bob McDonnell  will sign HB1107 (Greason) and SB656 (McEachin) Thursday, April 26 at Binford Middle School in Richmond.
