Rain continues to fall across most of the state as strong low pressure near the Outer Banks of North Carolina tracks north.  The storm total rainfall at RIC ending at 5 PM today is 1.28″, and we stand a good chance of breaking the daily rainfall record for this date of 1.60″ established in 1984.  Northerly winds have continued to increase across the state as the surface pressure has continued to fall.  The pressure at RIC has fallen from 29.79″ to 29.47″ over the past 16 hours.  Snow will develop across the highest elevations of our state late tonight, and totals of 3-6″ will be possible by the time the snow ends early Tuesday morning.  We’ll see some light rain scattered across the area during the first half of Monday, with windy, cloudy, and cool conditions for the rest of the day. I’ll have live updates on CBS 6 News at 6:30, or immediately following The Valero Texas Open, whichever comes last.  -Zach
