DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office has a warning about a scammer making phone calls to homes in the county.
They issued a reverse 911 call Saturday to help spread the word.
The sheriff’s office says someone is calling telling people they have won money, but they need to give away some of their personal information first.
Officers are asking anyone who gets a call like this to hang up and never give away personal information over the phone.
