RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Patchy, shallow fog is developing in central Virginia this morning as a result of clear skies overnight, calm winds and damp ground from the mid-week rainfall. Fog is most likely in agricultural areas (where the ground soaked up the rain like a sponge), along low-lying spots, and also near any waterway. Visibilities can be reduced below a quarter of a mile in these locations. With sunshine, the air will begin to warm and mix at the surface, dissipating the fog by mid-morning. The rest of Friday will be partly cloudy and warmer in the upper 70s. Click here for details on our expected weekend rainfall.
