Fayetteville, NC (WRAL-CNN) - A family is pleading for the return of a missing female soldier from Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  Police say the health services specialist may be in danger.

Police said 23-year-old Kelli Bordeaux left a bar early Saturday. An army official, told WRAL, said a bar employee gave Bordeaux a ride home.

Bordeaux's mother, Johnna Henson, said her daughter lives off base with her husband, who was in Florida at the time.

Bordeaux was reported missing when she didn't report for duty Monday.

"Being a soldier to Kelli is something she would not jeopardize for anything. Missing work is not something that is in character for Kelli," said her sister Olivia Cox.

Bordeaux is described as 5-feet tall, 99 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes. Police said she was last seen wearing a pink halter top and black shorts.

An Army official speaking anonymously said at some point two text messages were sent from Bordeaux's phone.  One said -- quote -- "got home safely."  The official didn't know who the text was sent to or the contents of the other text.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fayetteville police.
