(WTVR) If you're looking for work, one of the biggest internet companies is hiring.
Amazon is already posting jobs for its Chesterfield and Dinwiddie distribution centers.
Although they are still under construction, the centers are expected to be complete in the fall.
According to the company's website, Amazon will need to fill more than 1,300 positions.
This spike in hiring could help put a slight dent in the local unemployment numbers.
More than 30,000 people in the cities of Richmond, and Petersburg, along with Henrico and Chesterfield counties are out of work, according to the Virginia Employment Commission.
