BALTIMORE — Last week the nation was sent into Mega Millions mania. But now, Mega Millions mania has sent workers at a Maryland McDonald’s restaurant into a rage after one of the apparent winners of the $656 million jackpot says that she refuses to share.

According to a report in the New York Post, workers at the McDonald’s who pooled their cash for tickets are angry at a coworker who claims that she won with a ticket that she bought for herself, separate from the group.

Mirlande Wilson, 37, told the Post that she alone bought one of the three winning tickets, earning her a $105 million payday.

“We had a group plan, but I went and played by myself. [The ‘winning’ ticket] wasn’t on the group plan,” Wilson told the Post on Sunday. ““I was in the group, but this was separate. The winning ticket was a separate ticket.”

Wilson’s coworkers at McDonald’s, some of whom earn as little as $7.50 an hour, are not happy.

“She can’t do this to us!” said Suleiman Osman Husein, a shift manager and one of 15 members in the pool, to the Post. “We each paid $5. She took everybody’s money!”

According to the Post, Wilson bought the tickets for her coworkers at the 7-11 convenience store in Milford Mill, MD, where the winning ticket was sold.
