RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – With a drier, cooler air-mass settling into the Mid-Atlantic behind Monday’s dry cold frontal passage, along with clear skies overnight and gradually weakening winds, temperatures fell into the 30s across all of central Virginia. Some locations froze. However, frost was not a problem as the air was too dry to support frost development (dew point temperatures were in the low teens!).  This was the first morning since March 11 for Richmond that we reported a low temperature in the 30s.  Here are the low temperatures this morning:

Temperatures should not be quite as cold in the area Wednesday morning as a light southerly wind returns, but lows are still expected to dip into the upper 30s to around 40 degrees.
