CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A man is in custody in connection with a pair of robberies that occurred this month in the Smoketree neighborhood of Chesterfield County.

In an email, Chesterfield Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Caroon said Jesselee Chae Hardy, 23, was arrested at his home on Pleasanthill Drive Wednesday. Hardy is charged with robbery, abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Caroon said one robbery occurred March 12 on Glenhaven Court, the other March 18 on Pleasantview Road. She said in both crimes the suspect asked the victim for a ride to the Smoketree area, then displayed a weapon and robbed the victim.

No one was hurt in either incident, she said.

Hardy is being held without bond pending a hearing.
