Cuccinelli takes step toward gubernatorial run

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli filed paperwork Thursday to establish a campaign committee for governor, reported the Washington Post.

Last year Cuccinelli, a Republican, announced he planned to run for Governor.

Lt. Governor Bill Bolling, also a Republican, announced he too would seek the office.

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell said he would support Bolling’s campaign.

The election is November 2013.
