All three Virginia teams competing in the men’s basketball NCAA tournament have now been eliminated.

Two of them were destroyed by the Gators.

The Norfolk State University Spartans, No. 15 seed, lost to the number 7 seed seven Florida University Gators tonight.

On Friday the Spartans messed up just as many, if not more tournament brackets than VCU did the previous year.

NSU beat the No. 2 seed Missouri Tigers. The victory was historic, last happening more than a decade ago when Hampton defeated Iowa State.

For a little bit more history—the first time it happened was in 1991 when the University of Richmond defeated Syracuse. Turns out Virginia is for bracket busting!

In tonight’s game, at half-time the Gators had a 28 point lead over the Spartans, at 47-19. The final score was FLA 84-50.

University of Virginia Cavaliers too had a stinging loss to the Gators, who beat the Cavaliers by 26 points for a final score of 71-45.
