CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The USGS has confirmed another aftershock took place Friday afternoon in Central Virginia.

The magnitude-2.2 aftershock happened at 2:30 p.m. near highway 60 in Cumberland County.

Many folks on the CBS 6 Facebook page said they felt the tremor.

Lisa Burton wrote that she felt what she believed was an earthquake Friday afternoon because “something was shaking and rumbling!!!!”

This was before the quake was verified by the USGS.

Burton also wrote that she at first thought the shaking was caused by thunder, but then some neighbors, one who lives as far as 5 miles away, came over to her home to see what was going on. “My kitchen floor was shaking …I looked out side but nothing,” she wrote.

Jay Daniels and  David Mccollom also wrote that they felt the shaking.

Dozens of aftershocks have occurred since a magnitude-5.8 earthquake shook Virginia — and much of the East Coast — on Aug. 23, 2011.

However, a magnitude-3.2 aftershock in late January ranks among the top five biggest aftershocks since the initial magnitude 5.8 earthquake

Here’s a summary of the biggest aftershocks so far Storm Team 6 Meteorologist Carrie Rose:

4.5 mag: August 25, 2011 at 1:07AM

4.2 mag: August 23, 2011 at 8:04PM

3.4 mag: September 1, 2011 at 5:09AM
