George Clooney said Oscars was ‘going to be a French evening’

(EXTRA) - Best Actor nominee George Clooney arrived to the Academy Awards George Clooney Predicted 'It's Going to Be a French Evening'with his lovely GF Stacy Keibler by his side.

Clooney, who was up against pal Brad Pitt and "The Artist's" Jean Dujardin, predicted correctly regarding who would take home the Best Actor award, saying, "I think it's going to be an all French evening. But that's okay, it's a fun night."

"The Descendants" star revealed he played some basketball in the morning before the award show, and said, "There's a regular game at my house every Sunday morning. So, I shot around a bit. I got a bum elbow so I have to take it a little slow."

When asked if he was planning to attend some of the Oscar parties, George replied, "I usually try to have diner with my friends somewhere. It's more fun that way 'cause we don't really get a chance to see everyone."

George's stunning date, Stacy, wore a gold Marchesa number and explained how she discovered the gown. "I went to Fashion Week for the first time ever. I saw this dress on the runway and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I want to try that dress on.' It was the only dress I tried on."
