RICHMOND, Va (WTVR)- Your child’s school could soon keep a drug on hand that could help students who suffer severe allergic reactions.

A House committee has signed off on a bill that would allow schools to stock EpiPen.

Supporters of the legislation say epinephrine has saved the lives of children with extreme allergies.

The bill was filed just a week after a Chesterfield County elementary school student died from eating a peanut she was given on the playground.
