FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – One man was arrested for destruction of property after a fight over a football game ended with two rival fans tossed through a restaurant window.

Fredericksburg Police Public Information Officer Natatia Bledsoe detailed the events leading up to the man’s arrest in an email to CBS6.

Bledsoe wrote officers were called to F.W. Sullivans on William St. in Fredericksburg around 2:00 a.m. Saturday to respond to a fight between two groups of men.

When police arrived, most of the people involved in the fight were gone.

Those who remained in the area told police the men were fighting over the upcoming NFL championship games that were to be played on Sunday.

One of the men suffered a severe cut to his elbow. The rescue squad treated the man at the scene.

Police determined Brad Mullins, 30, of Gray, Tennessee, was one of the people who damaged the window. Police arrested Mullins for felony destruction of property. Mullins was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

Bledsoe said the other men involved in the fight were not located.
