2 tractor trailers involved in accidents on Interstate 95

CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Virginia State Police reported two accidents involving tractor trailers on Interstate 95 Monday afternoon.

State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar said around 1:10 p.m. Monday one tractor trailer jack knifed on Interstate 95 North near the Carmel Church exit.

That truck is blocking the right lane and right shoulder of the interstate.

A second tractor trailer ran off the right side of the interstate near the same location. That truck overturned and fell down an embankment.

One of the drivers suffered minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate the accidents.

Police report a two-mile back up on Interstate 95 at this time.
