The third and final aftershock of the day was also a magnitude 2.5 at 4:03 p.m. in the same location as the previous aftershocks of the day.

In August 2011, Mineral was rocked by a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that caused millions of dollars in damage to homes and property. A series of aftershocks have rattled that region of Virginia since the August quake.

There have been no reports of any damage as a result of Wednesday morning's aftershock.

But resident's are weary of the perpetual aftershocks as they rebuild and recover.

Since the big earthquake struck on Aug. 23, there have been 83 aftershocks recorded. That is an average of one every other day.
